About Joanna B Yates Family and friends call me Jojo. I’ve been sharing alignment-based flow yoga, yin, restorative yoga, and myofascial release classes up and down the east coast since 2010 in a myriad of settings. I’m a huge fan of vulnerability, gritty conversations, and allowing movement to be a source into freedom. That’s one of the many lessons my yoga practice has pulled to the surface since I began in 2008 and I often share from that space. I started my practice in a corporate setting just outside the conference room at my previous 9-5 job. Now, as an anatomical enthusiast, I see the body from the inside-out. Join Jo for a self-massage and self-care practice and give back to your hard working body. Using Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls, gentle stretches and breathing techniques, we will release, restore and refresh connective tissue in the body while experiencing a deep state of conscious relaxation. If you sit at a desk or coffee shop often, if you are an athlete making repetitive movements, if you live with mild to chronic pain from an accident or trauma, if you practice yoga or consider yourself a gym rat - this workshop is for you! This workshop will provide take home exercises to continue this release work on your own time. No yoga experience necessary.
